The Church Technology Checkup
A clear picture of where you stand, in about two weeks, for a flat $850.
Many churches follow up with one of the fixed-price projects. The checkup tells you which ones, if any, are worth doing.
What I review
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace: licenses, admin accounts, multi-factor sign-in, and who still has access who shouldn't.
- Email security: spoofing protection for your domain (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), spam and phishing filtering, and forwarding rules.
- Finance and expenses: approvals, expenses, cards, reimbursements, budgets, vendor payments, and month-end reporting. Advice on spend tools such as Ramp when useful. Process and tools review, not accounting, audit, or tax advice. Payment-fraud controls included here and in Email protection.
- Devices and backups: whether church computers are protected and updated, and whether files and email can actually be restored.
- Network basics: Wi-Fi coverage and how the livestream connects. This is a light look, not a full network design.
What you get
- A plain-English report of 2 to 4 pages
- A prioritized fix list, split into "do this month" and "plan for later"
- A 30-minute walkthrough with your staff, finance committee, or both
- Quick fixes done during the checkup where it's safe to make them
How it works
A 20-minute intro call, read-only admin access to Microsoft 365, one on-site visit of about 2 hours, then the report and walkthrough.
What happens next
Pick the fixes you want help with. I'll send a fixed-price scope for each, and you can do any of them yourself or with your own vendor.
